Gaile Proler is a photographer from Houston, Texas. She earned a degree from Rice University in Art History and Media Arts but considers travel the most influential educator. She currently works from Rancho Santa Fe, California.
Growing up, her quirky uncle was considered the family photographer. She thought she could do better and save some grace in perpetuity. Thus the intrigue of recording imagery was born.
The sublime works of Renaissance art, the whimsy of Lartigue and the Pointillist master Georges Seurat have each influenced her style.
Magical Realism
The work is an invitation to wander and wonder-- perhaps meeting complexity in the calm--or provoking questions with no details provided. Her focus is the essence of a scene, rid of distraction to encourage the senses.
Meanwhile, Gaile reserves lots of passion for her two adult children and her best pal canine companion, Diego.
